In ACCSB accreditation, are there any “must-meet” conditions for departments/degree programs that have been approved? Are there any courses that are mandatory? Is there a minimum requirement for graduation credits?
One “must-meet” condition for departments/degree programs to pass ACCSB accreditation is the establishment of a mature quality assurance system. Each unit must define clear talent cultivation objectives, plan courses, allocate relevant educational resources based on these objectives, and collect various performance data in alignment with these objectives, continuously reviewing and improving them. This establishes a fundamental framework and operational mechanism for ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of education.
Regarding the course requirements for each department/degree program, mandatory courses adhere to the professional standards in their respective fields. However, in the case of the MBA program, which admits graduates from various undergraduate backgrounds, ACCSB accreditation suggests that the course design should cater to the fundamental needs of business managers in terms of planning and decision-making. Therefore, students are obligated to complete a minimum of nine core management courses. These include functional knowledge courses like “Marketing Management,” “Financial Management,” and “Operations Management,” as well as integrated management courses such as “Strategic Management,” “Organizational Behavior,” and “Business Ethics,” along with analytical tools courses like “Managerial Economics,” “Managerial Accounting,” and “Applied Statistics.”
For students with undergraduate backgrounds in related fields who aspire to pursue academic research, they have the option to pursue an MS degree, taking courses in “Methodology” and “Seminar in their respective fields” before completing a thesis as part of their graduation requirements.

When applying for accreditation, what documents should be provided for newly established departments/degree programs (which do not yet have graduates) within the college?
For newly established departments/degree programs (without graduates yet), please coordinate with the application form and sequentially detail the educational objectives and positioning, teaching inputs, research and industry-academia collaboration, administration and service, and effectiveness indicators. Effectiveness will be included as an item for future tracking. -
What are the possible results of the Accreditation Review?
After all Document Review and On-site Review procedures are completed, or after the specified deadline for the Accreditation Review phase has passed, the "Accreditation Project Team (APT)" should comprehensively consider the results of the Document Review and On-site Review and propose the "Accreditation Review Report."
The applicant unit will be categorized into one of four categories: "Accredited–Valid for 6 Years", "Accredited–Valid for 5 Years, Subject to Mid-term Evaluation (Document Review)", "Accredited–Valid for 4 Years, Subject to Mid-term Evaluation (On-site Review)", and "Not passing".
Among units that do not pass, if their quality assurance system is found to be complete, they may still be recognized and issued a Quality Assurance Certificate. The validity period for such recognition depends on the maturity of the established quality assurance system and will be handled in accordance with the regulations for Quality Assurance Certificate Programs. -
If the applicant perceives the recognition results as unjust after they are issued, what actions can be taken?
The applicant may request an appeal based on instances where the recognition committee deviates from ACCBE procedural regulations during the recognition process or if there is a discrepancy between the content stated in the recognition decision document and the actual situation of the applicant. (If the discrepancy arises from erroneous information provided by the applicant, it falls outside the scope of appeal.)
Applicants intending to lodge an appeal are requested to prepare the petition and provide proof of payment for the Appeal Fee within thirty days of receiving the “Decision Letter of Accreditation Result.” The appeal documents should then be submitted to the ACCBE administration office. For details about the appeal process, please refer to Section VII, ”Appeals Process,” in the Accreditation Handbook. -
If biases are detected in the accreditation process or if there are inaccuracies in the data upon which the accreditation is based, what actions can the applicant take?
The applicant may, within two weeks of receiving the “Recommendation Report,” provide explanations to the ACCBE administration office regarding any discrepancies perceived between self-assessment and the facts stated in the report. The explanations provided by the applicant will be considered by the Accreditation Working Committee in their discussions on the accreditation outcome.

If certified departments/degree programs are reported by a third party or covered in the media for violating accreditation standards, how would ACCBE respond?
When we receive a third-party complaint or media reports indicating that certified departments/degree programs have violated accreditation standards, the ACCBE administration office will review the relevant information to assess the adequacy of supporting evidence. Subsequently, the case will be submitted to the ACCBE Center and Accreditation Working Committee for further examination.
The possible outcomes are as follows: Not accepted (due to insufficient supporting evidence), Not filed (if the information is untrue), or proceed with additional investigation. The complainant may decide whether to refile a complaint upon receiving a response. For the processing workflow and timeline, please refer to the link below.

ACCBE經營分析師證照主要以「大學在學之企管系或企管所高年級學生(大學三年級以上,研究所二年級以上)」、特別是應屆畢業生為目標對象,也可提供對企劃領域有興趣之商管學院系所高年級學生一個檢視所學的機會;若不符上述條件但想透過此證照檢驗自己的「策略規劃基本能力」者,亦歡迎報名應試。 -

考生報名後,若需撤回報名(退款)或延期,可於公告之規定期限內填寫相關申請表並Email至accbe@mail.management.org.tw 信箱(相關時程與規定,請以該梯次公布之「考試手冊」為準),我們將儘速為您處理。「欲退款者」若未於申請期限內提交申請表,則僅能申請延期考試(天災、事變等事故除外);「欲延期者」若未於延期申請期限內提交申請表,將收取500元作業費。 -
