Professional Standards for Business Education Accreditation
ACCBE Accreditation Criteria

The Accreditation Council for Chinese Business Education (ACCBE) of the Chinese Management Association has established rigorous accreditation criteria to enhance the quality of business and management education.

Through a two-stage evaluation framework—Eligibility Review and Accreditation Review—ACCBE ensures that business schools and academic programs meet high standards in educational positioning, teaching resources, and performance outcomes.

  1. The Business School in the university should be certified to offer degree programs by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan.
  2. The overseas Chinese Business Schools should be certified to offer degree programs by the local educational authority.
  3. Part of the Business School can be the candidates to apply for our accreditation. (note 1)
2. Institutions applying for ACCSB accreditation are required to submit for review all degree (note 2) programs offered at all locations simultaneously, unless a program is excluded from the scope of accreditation due to non-compliance with Indicator 3 or Indicator 4.
3. The credits of traditional business courses (see note 2) should meet the following ratio requirement against total graduation credits:
  1. Bachelor Degree: greater than 25%.
  2. Graduate Degree: greater than 50%.
4. Our accreditation service does not include joint dual degrees issued by other schools outside our accreditation.

Note :

  1. This accreditation does not provide accreditation services for degree programs that are not recognized by the government, or for non-permanent or short-term degree programs established for specific projects (e.g., junior college divisions, industry–academia collaboration programs, etc.).
  2. The identification of a degree program shall be based on the title indicated on the official certificate or credential. Programs with different titles shall be regarded as different degree programs.
  3. Traditional business and management disciplines include, but are not limited to: accounting, business law, decision sciences, finance (including insurance, real estate, and banking), human resource management, management, management information systems, management science, marketing, operations management (or production management), organizational behavior, organizational development, strategic management, supply chain management (including transportation management and logistics management), technology management, and related fields.
