Advancing Quality Assurance in Chinese-language Business and Management Education: ACCBE of the Chinese Management Association
The ACCBE accreditation organization of the Chinese Management Association provides rigorous and credible third-party accreditation services for university business and management education.
Through experienced academic experts, standardized procedures, and verifiable evidence, ACCBE assists business schools and departments in establishing mechanisms for continuous improvement in educational quality, thereby supporting the creation of institutional value and the advancement of management education.
Our Mission and Development
Since 2005, the Chinese Management Association has promoted the Accreditation of Chinese Collegiate School of Business (ACCSB) initiative. This effort brought together internationally recognized overseas Chinese scholars in business and management, along with leading figures from Taiwan’s management education community, to form the ACCSB Accreditation Steering Committee, which established the accreditation standards.
Senior management scholars from major universities across Taiwan were invited to form the ACCSB Accreditation Working Committee, responsible for implementing the accreditation process. Over the years, ACCSB accreditation has become widely recognized as one of the most rigorous and credible accreditation systems in Chinese-language business education. The Chinese Management Association has also been officially recognized three times by the Ministry of Education as a qualified domestic professional accreditation body.
In response to changes in the Ministry of Education’s policies regarding program-level professional evaluation, the accreditation framework was further expanded in 2018. Today, ACCBE provides accreditation services including ACCSB college-level accreditation and ACCPB program-level accreditation, supporting universities in strengthening educational quality and advancing the development of business and management education.
On August 1, 2020, the organization was officially renamed the Accreditation Council for Chinese Business Education (ACCBE) of the Chinese Management Association.
